Analog Phone Guide
Analog phones are recommended for locations where a phone should continue to work during both power and network outages.
This includes uses cases, where in the past digital phones could be used to call 911. If high availability access is still needed, digital phones MUST BE migrated to analog during the migration from Avaya to Zoom Phone.
Existing Analog Services
NI&S will transition the back-end infrastructure for existing analog services to work in the new Zoom Phone environment during Q4 of 2023. No action is needed from university departments.
New Analog Services
Analog services will be available in the Zoom Phone system and can be ordered by submitting an ICR (include analog service, building, room and port). Departments will be responsible for purchasing analog phones.
