Unified Messaging
Unified Messaging allows you to receive email notification of new voicemail messages, including an audio copy of the voicemail. Setting up Unified Messaging is the same as adding a new account to your email client. General instructions and settings are below, as well as illustrated PDF guides for some popular operating systems and email applications.
General Settings
Add an email account to your application of choice using the following settings:
Email address: | Blacksburg campus: National Captial Region: |
Protocol: | IMAP |
Incoming server: | Blacksburg campus: National Capital Region: |
Outgoing server: | (not to be used for this service) |
Username: | Your five-digit extension |
Password: | The password you created when you setup your UC voicemail account. |

If your email client is not listed on the training site, please request the new Voicemail Notifications service, instructions on the Voicemail Notifications service page.
